The Ultimate Guide to Grand Haven: 50 Things to do on a Staycation
33. Visit Vander Mill Cider Mill
Nothing says fall like sweet apple cider and warm cinnamon sugar donuts!
Since their opening in 2006, Vander Mill has been producing high quality, innovative cider products and is now one of the largest craft cider producers in the Midwest.
At Vander Mill, you won’t be drinking any ordinary cider, because they make their ciders with the highest quality Michigan apples. You can feel good about drinking it too, because it contains no added sugar and is not pasteurized! In addition to the traditional family friendly sweet cider, Vander Mill also produces over a dozen different types of hard cider. In 2013, Vander Mill built a 3500 square-foot expansion to update its facilities and increase production. Included in this expansion was a canning system that can produce 1800 cider cans per hour. Three of their most popular ciders: Hard Apple, Totally Roasted and Blue Gold, are distributed throughout the Midwest to more than 600 different stores, and 400 pubs!
Not only does Vander Mill’s sell delicious cider and fresh made donuts, but they also have a full menu for you to enjoy in their newly renovated tasting room including: sandwiches, pizzas, tacos, a kids menu, and more! You’re sure to find something that appeals to you!
Mark your calendars! Every Saturday at 2pm during the September and October months, Vander Mills gives you a sneak peek at their cider making process! It is a fun and educational experience for everyone!
