For the 5th year in a row the Grand Haven ~ Spring Lake Holiday Inn sponsored the Salmon Festival “Kids Zone,” where kids and their families participated in hands-on activities that encourage everyone to have fun and think about the importance of our environment. Groups like Outdoor Discovery Center and Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum were in attendance offering educational information, live exhibits and hands-on activities. Activities included, live Michigan wildlife, fish/animal face painting, live fish pond, fishy fun art, educational fun games such as – calling all turkey’s, teasing gravity, polymer surprise. We had a blast. Make sure to bring the kids next year!

In it’s sixth annual year, the Salmon Festival tipped the scales for attendance with over 8,000 people throughout the 2 day event. Oh, and we can’t forget about the Salmon Cook-off which was delicious as always. So congratulations Salmon Festival Cook-off Winners:
